Chelsea Rooney is a writer and teacher living in Vancouver.

She holds a BFA and MFA in Writing from the University of British Columbia. Her debut novel Pedal was nominated for the 2015 Amazon.ca First Novel Award and the 2016 ReLit Award for Best Independent Fiction. She hosts a monthly episode of The Storytelling Show on Vancouver Co-op Radio.
As an educational writer, she pens secondary-school curriculum for the Ministry of Education in Quebec and language arts lessons for test-preparation companies
in Vancouver.

Her passion is teaching teenagers how to express their unique selves through the magic of words.
