Gillan Rice has more than 30 years experience in teaching fashion design courses that have included construction techniques, pattern development, draping, illustration and history of costume. Through working in various areas of the apparel industry - custom clothing, volume production and costume design for live theatre - her knowledge of developing patterns is diverse and in depth.
 
Ms. Rice is an invaluable member of our faculty. She is a patient and generous instructor whose expertise ensures that our fashion students are well trained in the art of pattern making.
